Dr. Barry Florida-James

Dr. Barry Florida-James is MD and co-founder ofJustAccounts and his broad vision continues to lead the company’s technical innovation and product competitiveness. Under his direction, JustAccounts has grown rapidly into a company with best in class technology.

Barry has over 15 years of experience building and managing distributed desktop software and worked as project leader on the British Airways Online check-in project, a ground breaking delivery of internet services that’s immediate to all. During 7 years at Sage UK Ltd, he worked as Developer, Business Analyst and Product Development Manager, gaining hands on experience of Sage Accounts products and in particular understanding how the products are used by businesses and accountants.

Paul Evans

Paul is the Co-Founder & Commercial Director of Just Accounts. Paul has worked for global software & IT companies including Sage, Fujitsu & Flexera Software. Client sectors include accountancy, finance, telecommunications & technology, which include some of the largest companies on the globe including Siemens, Philips, and Ernst & Young. He has also managed teams that supported medium & small business across the UK & EMEA. During his 6 years at Sage he had various roles including: Accountants Division (Top 250 clients), European Channel Partners & Global VP/Director for the CRM business unit on a global basis.

James Ogden

James is CTO for JustAccounts and is responsible for driving the technology direction for product development and engineering. With over 15 years of developing and creating leading edge software products he has progressed to being one of the leading industry developers of his age. After gaining a Masters degree in Engineering his career has seen him work with companies such as Matra Systems and Macrovision before joining Sage UK where he became principle developer of Sage Line 50.

Barry Cochrane

Barry Cochrane is Head of Customer Services and is responsible for the overall customer experience at JustAccounts. His position covers all areas including product usability, support and customer satisfaction. Before joining JustAccounts Barry worked 9 years within Sage as the Senior Customer Operations Manager for the Accountants Division. He therefore brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in dealing with front line issues and requests.

Michael O’Higgins

Michael O’Higgins has been Chair of the Audit Commission since October 2006. Prior to that, he spent 10 years with PA Consulting Group as a Managing Partner leading its Government and IT Consulting Groups, and also, latterly, as a Member of its International Board. In 2005/06 he chaired a Department of Health external panel on Commissioning a Patient-led NHS and the previous year he chaired the Group advising the Minister for Health on the operation of NHS Research Ethics committees. He has also been on the Board of Trustees of Centrepoint since 2002 and its Chair since 2004.

He was previously a Reader in Social Policy at the University of Bath, with visiting appointments at LSE, Harvard and the Australian National University. He then worked at the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development in Paris and moved into consulting and advisory work at Price Waterhouse where he was a Partner until 1996.

Richard Greenhalgh

Richard worked for Unilever for over 30 years and was Deputy Director of Personnel for Unilever Plc before becoming Chairman of Unilever UK from 1998 until 2004. He is Chairman of The Council for Industry and Higher Education, CARE International UK, First Milk, and Chairman of the UK advisory board of a US listed outsourcing company, OPI. Richard is also Vice Chairman of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority.

Sir Ian has held such distinguished public sector posts as Second Permanent Secretary and Chief Operating Officer for the Department of Constitutional Affairs, Head of Profession for Operational Delivery across the civil service, Chief Executive of the Court Service, Chief Executive of the Information Technology Services Agency, Director of the Benefits Agency, Acting Chief Executive of the Benefits Agency, and Private Secretary to the Minister for Social Security.

Bruce Thew

Bruce has over 20 years of experience building and managing outsourcing businesses internationally.

Bruce began his career at PCL PLC where he spent 12 years and rose to the level of Group Managing Director. Between 1997 and 2005, Bruce held senior management roles at Ceridian Group.

Bruce serves as Chairman of Active Non Executive Services, European President of Outsource Partners International; Non Executive Advisor at IIPay and Chairman of Safeguard World International. Bruce was a Non-Executive Director at Bridgepoint/NES group from 2005 to 2006.

Patrick Kelly

Patrick was until recently on the international board of PA Consulting Group, a consulting and venturing company with operations in some twenty countries. Patrick was responsible for the IT consulting practices around the world. In his twenty years with PA he led consulting engagements with some of the world’s largest companies mainly in the telecoms and pharmaceuticals sectors. His projects ranged from managing large change programmes through to M&A. Prior to joining PA he managed software development teams for British Telecom. He has an MSc in Computing Science from Newcastle University and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.

Jens Osmundsen

Jens Henrik Osmundsen is presently holding the position as Business Director for Hewlett Packard’s Enterprise Business in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

With more than 20 years of business experience internationally, Jens Henrik has held various positions with international companies in technical as well as sales & marketing roles. Prior to joining HP, Jens Henrik was General Manager of Indigo Europe.

In addition, Jens Henrik is actively involved in various Venture activities as well as Property investments and has served on the boards of several international companies.

Jens Henrik holds an M.Sc and Ph.d in Electronics & Physics from Technical University of Denmark and an MBA from Copenhagen Business School. Jens Henrik Osmundsen is based in Brussels, Belgium.

Jim Burns

A senior business executive with over thirty years experience gained in the retail, manufacturing and service sectors.

Born in scotland he studied law and economics at glasgow university on the road to becoming a member of the institute of chartered accountants of scotland in 1972.

Jim has a wide experience gained over a number of years of driving profitable growth into organisations both organically and by merger and acquisition. He has led management buyouts, acquisitions and strategic trade sales to and from both public and private companies.

Married with two adult sons jim retired as president of ceridian canada ltd in 2009 returned to the uk and now has several consultancy and non executive director roles with young fast growing companies.
